The Human Element
The Weakest Link in Your CYBERSECURITY Plan is YOU
Education, Collaboration, Participation
85% of all breaches involve people at some point in the attack. It’s common knowledge in the IT world that people are the weakest link in a cybersecurity plan. As an industry, we do very little to address the human element. IT professionals have lots of tools at their disposal to address malware, malicious scripts, data theft, unauthorized access, malicious websites, and many other potential “hacking” incidents. As it relates to the human aspect of cyberattacks there isn’t really a software or hardware solution beyond Zero Trust.
Zero Trust is necessary in today’s always-on, always connected world. It doesn’t eliminate the human threat of cybersecurity. We have to tackle this threat with education, collaboration, and preparation.
We aim to deliver knowledge of social engineering tactics, scams, and other human-based attacks that rely on manipulation to trick people into doing things they would not normally do. We will deliver content via blogs and podcasts with more to come late this year.
It is our goal to level the playing field and prepare business owners and their employees for the inevitable. We also hope to help individuals understand how to avoid being scammed.
